Moviegoers who happened to see the big-budget mess "The Chronicles of Riddick" five years ago may have sworn off David Twohy's films for life. The cut that played in theaters was just enough of a bloated, over-caffeinated "Dune"-like spectacle to make audiences forget all the nice touches that the writer-director had with dialogue and action in "Pitch Black." This is not nearly as cute as Twohy (Pitch Black, The Chronicles of Riddick) seems to think. But you could just ignore all that, though, and give into the many B-movie conventions A Perfect Getaway has to offer: skeevy hitchhikers and strangers in the jungle, skinny dipping and girl-on-girl fistfights.
