After two live action features, starring Gerard Depardieu, the film returns to animation as it traces the adventures of Asterix (Paul Giamatti) and Obelisk who have been assigned a thankless task: they must make a warrior out of the city-dude, Justforkiks (Sean Astin) who is essentially a cowardly teenager, with little respect for Gaulish ways.
