‘Observe and Report' a tasteless, disgusting waste Apr 18, 2009
He is a talent and so is this entire cast, but shame on him; shame on Michael Pea ( World Trade Center, Crash ), who plays fellow security guard Dennis, whom Pea portrays with a gay-ish flamboyancy and a Toni-like perm; shame on Faris, who can be wonderfully funny; and shame on Ray Liotta (who should know better), whose police detective, Harrison, is an utterly insipid joke. The sad truth is that these actors are precisely why the film will draw an audience and I am appalled at the very... (Cedar Park Hill Country News Weekender, TX)

'Observe' proves edgy, dark Apr 17, 2009
He clashes with an equally hot-headed police officer played by Ray Liotta, sleepwalking through an irritating, tired routine. Some sideplots include Barnhardt enlisting an elite squad of losers to combat the flasher and a turf war with an unforgiving detective (Ray Liotta), who dashes Barnhardt's dreams to carry a real badge. Barnhardt's insane interview with the police psychiatrist doesn't help either. (KFOXTV.com, TX)

Liotta Happy To 'Report' To Comedy Ranks Apr 10, 2009
Let's bust any of those preconceptions right now -- the R-rated dark comedy "Observe and Report" is far from a rehash of the recent squeaky-clean hit "Paul Blart: Mall Cop." Sure, the mall setting is familiar, but Seth Rogen's security guard character is, as co-star Ray Liotta puts it, "a mall cop with some problems." ... He's even willing to lampoon his image, like he did as the proprietor of Ray Liotta honey in animated hit, "Bee Movie.". (KFOXTV.com, TX)
