Now Miyazaki fans John Lasseter () and Peter Sohn ("Partly Cloudy") plus veteran producers Frank Marshall and Kathleen Kennedy have brought the anime maestro's latest film (Gake no ue no Ponyo in Japan) to North America. You know, when [Michael] Crichton passed away, I sorta felt maybe that's it. Maybe that's a sign that we don't mess with it.". Nothing is ever dead in Hollywood however: the death of Ian Fleming didn't stop more Bond films being written, while fans will remember Jurassic Park 3 was also not based on a Crichton book, so don't give up all hope on more... During the presentation, Nick president Cyma Zarghami and film producer Kathleen Kennedy also announced that Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel will appear in Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies upcoming film The Last Airbender, based on the networks animated series Avatar.
