Across the movie, the only consistently funny bits involve a pair of seductions: Mr. Selleck (James Brolin) of Brent in an unreciprocated man-crush and Babs repeated attempts to woo man-child Peter Selleck (Rob Riggle). There s also a spike of entertainment when Will Ferrell makes a cameo, but that quickly dies down when it s realized that he could have at least made this movie mildly entertaining had he been in the lead.
