Galaxy Quest draws much of its humor from the nostalgia surrounding old conventions (both literal and metaphorical), so some of the ironic punch of the film may be lost on the younger kids in the crowd. But there's certainly enough surface-level humor, alien creatures, charismatic characters and exciting space combat to keep the children entertained while the adults pick out some of the more clever references. The aliens look like the creepy baby-like aliens from Galaxy Quest and designers do little to differentiate between the look of the two creatures (the aliens here wear clothes). The human characters aren't much better. (IGN FilmForce)
